Detect
Multiple vision models work the same frame in parallel, picking race aircraft out against sky, terrain and ground clutter.
One camera watches the course. Every aircraft tracked and timed — with nothing bolted to a single airframe.
Timing an air race has always meant putting something on the aircraft. A transponder, a tracker, a beacon — hardware to fit, charge, hand out and collect, on airframes whose owners would rather you didn't.
GoRace just watches the race.
How It Works
Multiple vision models work the same frame in parallel, picking race aircraft out against sky, terrain and ground clutter.
Each detection is matched to the aircraft actually in the race, so a track belongs to a competitor rather than an anonymous contact.
Model outputs are fused across frames into continuous tracks, held through occlusion and close passes where two aircraft cross.
Those tracks become timing data as the aircraft come through — live, not reconstructed from footage afterward.
On Course
Race aircraft fly the regime that breaks conventional tracking — down low, at speed, in tight formation around a course. That's the case GoRace is built for, not the edge case it tolerates.
Why It Matters
No transponder, no tracker, no mounting, no wiring, no weight, and no conversation with an owner about what you want to attach to their airframe.
Nothing to fit, charge, hand out or collect between heats. Late entries and swapped aircraft need nothing prepared for them.
Times are produced as the race runs, so results go up while the aircraft are still on course.
A single camera and the box that drives it. It sets up for the event and packs down again afterward.
The capability lives in the models, so it improves by retraining on more racing — not by buying more equipment.
The same tracks that produce lap times carry speed, line and separation. There's a lot more to tell an audience than who crossed first.
Live Results
Timing is only useful if people can see it. Results publish live to the GoRace results app — open on any phone in the pits or the grandstand, no install required.

Dates and on-site details are still being finalized. If you run a race and want to talk about timing it with GoRace, get in touch.
Tell us how your event runs today and what you need out of timing. We'd rather hear the awkward requirements early.
